Joseph Hugo Schaaf, 83, of 1730 Celina Road, St. Marys, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at St. Marys Living Center.
He was born on Sept. 3, 1929, in St. Marys, to Hugo and Viola (Mann) Schaaf, and they preceded him in death.
On Aug. 15, 1953, in Brooklyn, Mich., he married Laura Mae “Smiley” King, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 4, 1980.
Nelson B. “Nellie” Greve, 83, of Wapakoneta, died at 6:34 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at the Lima Memorial Health System, following a sudden illness.
He was born on Feb. 5, 1929, in Shelby County, the son of Edward and Hulda (Steinke) Greve, and they preceded him in death.
On Feb. 7, 1953, he married Anna E. Eversman, and she survives.
Staff Sgt. Larry L. Cathcart, 60, USAF (ret.), of 1202 Hawthorne St., St. Marys, died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on Nov. 24, 1951, in Celina, to James and Wilma (Spaulding) Cathcart, and his father preceded him in death. His mother survives him in St. Marys.
On Aug. 29, 1971, in St. Marys, he married Carol L. Peterman, and she survives.
He is also survived by a brother, Steve Cathcart of Fort Wayne, Ind.; his nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Leona Peterman of St. Marys.
Joseph R. Otting, 77, of 236 Garfield St., Minster, died on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born on Nov. 27, 1934, in Darke County, to Raymond and Loretta (Duval) Otting, and they preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Janice (Leugers) Otting of Minster; two daughters, Lisa Turnbaugh of Houston, Texas, and Theresa Dillard of LaPorte, Texas.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph James; a brother.
Private services will be held.
