June 27th
Frank E. Hisey, 92, of Celina, died on Monday, June 25, 2012, at The Gardens at Celina.
He was born on Feb. 3, 1920, in Monticello, Ind., to John and Hazel (Wilson) Hisey, and they preceded him in death.
On Dec. 7, 1938, he married Wanda Lucille (Woods), and she preceded him in death on Oct. 12, 1998.
Rita S. Anthony, 57, of Wapakoneta, died at 5:54 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health System. Arrangements are incomplete at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta.
Betty Jane Purdy, 90, of Celina, died on Monday, June 25, 2012, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on April 10, 1922, in Kankakee, Ill., to Jacob and Lucille (Hays) Cline, and they preceded her in death.
On Jan. 11, 1945, she married Don M. Purdy, and he preceded her in death 28 hours earlier on June 24.
Margene E. Graessle, 96, of Wapakoneta, died at 11:45 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2012, at Otterbein-Cridersville.
She was born on May 22, 1916, in Buckland, to Edgar R. and Carrie M. (Snyder) Mertz, and they preceded her in death.
On Oct. 28, 1939, she married Frederick W. Graessle, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 16, 2003.
She is survived by a brother; four nephews; a niece; 10 great-nieces and great-nephews; five great-great-newphews; a close family friend.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in-law.
Walter C. Vogel, 75, of 14455 County Road 66-A, St. Marys, died at 4:14 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2012, at St. Marys Living Center.
He was born on Feb. 1, 1937, in Medina, to Edward and Lillian (Pritchard) Vogel, and they preceded him in death.
On June 20, 1959, in Kenton, he married Ann L. Oberlitner, and she survives.
June 26th
Eileen M. Burris, 92, formerly of 1706 Winston Drive, St. Marys, died at 4:35 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012, at St. Marys Living Center.
She was born on Dec. 12, 1919, in Auglaize County, to Cloice and Alma (Zink) Naylor, and they preceded her in death.
On Nov. 11, 1938, she married James F. Nester, and he preceded her in death on July 6, 1968. She then married Doug Burris on May 15, 1969, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 2006.
Walter Vogel, 75, of St. Marys, died on Monday, June 25, 2012, at St. Marys Living Center.
Arrangements are being completed with the Miller Funeral Homes in St. Marys.
Josephine F. Baker, 96, of Piqua, passed away at 9:50 a.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012, at her residence.
Jo was born on March 5, 1916, in Dayton, to Ignatius J. and Clara H. (Bubolz) Weinert, and they preceded her in death.
On June 12, 1939, in Norwalk, Jo married C. Oscar Baker, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1974.
Don M. Purdy, 89, of Celina, died on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on Feb. 15, 1923, in Center Township, to Floyd and Ella (Miller) Purdy, and they preceded him in death.
On Jan. 11, 1945, he married Betty Jane (Cline), and she survives him.
He is also survived by two sons, Mark (Barbara) Purdy of San Jose, Calif., and Michael Purdy of Fort Myers, Fla.; two daughters, Jayme (Jim) Karen of Dallas, Texas, and Lisa (Bill) Wade of Apple Valley, Minn.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
June 25th
Lois J. Steinbrunner, 80, of 28 E. Main St., Osgood, died at 6:11 a.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
She was born on Aug. 18, 1931, in Fort Loramie, to Alfred and Edith (Turner) Winner, and they preceded her in death.
On Jan. 10, 1953, she married Robert Luebke, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1989. She then married Mark Steinbrunner on May 16, 1997, and he survives in Osgood.
