David J. “SPC” Meiring, 57, of 69 N. Main St., Minster, died at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born on Aug. 18, 1954, in Coldwater, to Roland “Mort” and Delores (Vehorn) Meiring, and his father preceded him in death. His mother survives in Minster.
Dr. Kermit R. Heidt, 91, of Lima, died at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at the rehab center at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by his family.
He was born on April 23, 1921, in New Knoxville, to Henry and Lydia Schroelucke Heidt, and they preceded him in death.
On April 8, 1972, he married Virginia L. “Ginny” Gruebmeyer, and she survives in Lima.
