John W. Gossard, 71, formerly of Wapakoneta, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012, in Dade City, Fla.
He was born on Nov. 30, 1940, to Victor and Opal (Webb) Gossard, and they preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; his sons, Dennis (Sandi) Gossard and Bill Gossard; a daughter, Kim Nunes; a stepson, Shawn (Jane) Stevens; a sister, Ginger Jacobs; a brother, William Gossard; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Glen Gossard.
March 14th
E. Lucille (Bushong) Eichhorn, 86, of Wapakoneta, died at 8:41 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Otterbein-Cridersville.
She was born on July 27, 1925, in Williamstown, to Marion U. and M. Marie (Steinman) Bushong, who preceded her in death.
In 1964, she married C. Gaylord Eichhorn, and he preceded her in death in 1967.
She is survived by a stepdaughter, Gladys Whitmer of Kettering; a brother; several nieces, nephews and steprelatives.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; two sisters.
Tina M. Phlipot, 50, of 801 Manier Ave., Piqua, died at 12:55 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.
She was born on March 19, 1961, in Lima, to John and Sandra (Reineke) Eilerman, and they survive her in Minster.
March 12th
Marie M. Arnett, 90, of Wapakoneta, died at 2:40 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 6, 1921, in Fryburg, the daughter of John and Mary (Reier) Roth, and they preceded her in death.
On Oct. 26, 1944, she married Frederick “Fritz” Arnett, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1992.
Pearl Walker, 82, formerly of 319 S. Beech St., St. Marys, died at 8:40 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012, at Golden Living Center – Valley.
She was born on April 26, 1927, in Pruden, Tenn., to Elvin and Mary (Adkins) Orick, and they preceded her in death.
She is survived by a brother, Verlin (Janie) Orick of St. Marys; a sister, Evelyn (Hewell) Teague of St. Marys; two brothers-in-law, Donald Schell of St. Marys and Clay Beagle of St. Marys; numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen K. Schemmel, 98, formerly of New Bremen, and of Eagle Drive, Minster, died at 2 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster.
She was born on July 27, 1913, in Sidney, to Albert and Zita (Guissinger) Kloeppel, and they preceded her in death.
On Nov. 19, 1930, in Sidney, she married William M. Schemmel, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1991.
March 9th
John W. Burnett, 78, of 800 Touvelle St., Celina, formerly of San Diego, Calif., died at 6:25 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Celina Manor Nursing Home in Celina.
He was born on April 13, 1933, in Muncie, Ind., to Oscar and Mamie (Valentine) Brumett, and they preceded him in death.
John is survived by his daughter, Sandra D. Burnett of Rockford; a brother; a sister.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Burnett; three brothers.
John served his country in the U.S. Navy.
Elizabeth J. “Betty” Schmidt, 83, of Mendon, died on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on Oct. 24, 1928, in Geneva, Ind., to Glen and Hazel (Morgan) Grogg, and they preceded her in death.
On Sept. 3, 1988, she married Bennett “Ben” Schmidt, and he survives.
Ray D. High, 88, of Mendon, died on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on Feb. 15, 1924, in Union Township, to Ray R. and Mamie Ruth (Spicer) High, and they preceded him in death.
On June 19, 1960, he married Glenda Colwell, and she survives.
He is also survived by a son, Larry Joe (Julie) High of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Debra Lee Conway of Fort Wayne and Renee (Richard) Flanary of Celina; two brothers; his mother-in-law; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
