Miriam E. Engh, 94

Miriam E. Engh, 94, a resident of Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, and formerly of 1614 Brown’s Lake Drive, Burlington, Wis., died at 8:46 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Otterbein-St. Marys.

She was born on Aug. 8, 1917, in Westville, Okla., the daughter of Bert and Nevada (Sparks) Neel.

She married Raymond K. Engh on Jan. 6, 1945, in Tulsa, Okla., and he preceded her in death on July 20, 1996.

Jack R. Adams Sr., 80

Jack R. Adams Sr.,  80, of Lima, died on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at his  residence in Lima.

Born on Thursday, Jan. 14, 1932, in Lima, he was the son of Louis Adams and Harriet Pryor  Adams, who preceded him in death. On Feb. 6, 1954, he married Rose E. Point who died on Nov. 18, 2011.

He served in the Army from 1949 until 1952 and was a veteran of the  Korean War.

He retired from Ford Motor Company after 37 years of service and enjoyed caring for his large garden.

The Rev. Howard William Washburn, 89

The Rev. Howard William Washburn, 89, of St. Marys, died on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at Lima Memorial Health System.

Howard was born on Oct. 27, 1922, in Hackensack, N.J., to Adlagunda Bellm and Russell LeRoy Washburn Sr., and he was raised by his grandparents, John and Christina Bellm.
