January 13th
Robert J. Badertscher, 60, of Wapakoneta, died at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at the Wapakoneta Manor.
He was born on Dec. 29, 1951, in Bluffton, the son of Loraine and Ruth (Drury) Badertscher, and they preceded him in death.
He is survived by his long time companion, Betty J. Hertenstein; three sons, Brian Badertscher, George (Doris) Badertscher and Shawn (Erica) Metzger, all of Wapakoneta; a stepson, Jason Hertenstein of Wapakoneta; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister; two stepbrothers.
January 12th
Hazel P. (Ginger) Rudolph, 90, of 910 N. Sugar St., Celina, died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at the Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1921, in West Milton, to Harley and Rosa (Bond) Newman, and they preceded her in death.
On March 22, 1945, she married Leroy Rudolph, and he preceded her in death on April 13, 1994.
She is survived by a daughter, Dusky (Sharon) Crosley of Azle, Texas; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, William Newman; five brothers; two sisters.
Patricia A. Baucher, 67, of Celina, died at 9:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born on May 24, 1944, in Celina, to Ed and Ruth (Gray) Garman, and they preceded her in death.
On May 25, 1963, she married Paul D. Baucher, and he survives her.
She is also survived by a son, Scott Baucher of Celina; two daughters, Kelly (Doug) Speers of Dayton and Michelle Sutter of Celina; a brother; a sister; four grandchildren; a great-grandson.
Donald William Ickes Sr., 53, of 1122 Hager St., St. Marys, died on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born on Oct. 27, 1958, in Lima, the son of John Phillip Ickes and Helen Smart, and his father preceded him in death. His mother survives him in Wapakoneta.
Paul L. Edwards, 66, of Van Wert, died at 7:13 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at Van Wert County Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Liberty Baptist Church in Van Wert, with the Rev. Jim Burns officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Brickner Funeral Home Van Wert.

Mabel L. Williams, 92, of 125 S. Lake St., Celina, died at 10:55 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
She was born on Sept. 20, 1919, in Piqua, to Charles and Mary (Murphy) Chaney, and they preceded her in death.
On Oct. 22, 1938, she married Lewis Williams, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1987.
January 11th
Wendy H. Stanley, 51, of 1400 W. Market St., Celina, died on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on June 15, 1960, in Pikeville, Ky., to Woodrow and Geneva (Gilliam) Hamilton, and they preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughters, Kerry Stanley of Pikeville, Ky., and Dakota Carroll of Celina; three sisters.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Private family services will be held at the family’s convenience.
The Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina is handling arrangements.
Roy M. Kohler, 86, of Wapakoneta, died at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, at The Living Center, St. Marys.
He was born on July 10, 1925, in St. Marys, the son of Andrew and Maud (Coldwell) Kohler, who preceded him in death.
On July 17, 1948, he married Stella V. Gross, and she survives.
Other survivors include two brothers, Bob Kohler of St. Marys, and Chuck (Beth) Kohler of Wapakoneta; two sisters, Betty Weaver and Barb (Wilbur) Brubaker, both of St. Marys, and several nieces and nephews.

Carl Richard Wappelhorst, 90, of Coldwater, died on Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
He was born on June 8, 1921, in St. Henry, to Joseph and Emma (Daniel) Wapplehorst, and they preceded him in death.
