Mary M. Axe, 89, of St. Marys, died on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
Mary was born on Jan. 15, 1922, in St. Marys, to August “Gus” and Nettie Mae (Bower) Schaffer.
On Dec. 24, 1945, in St. Marys, she married Richard “Red” Axe, and he preceded her in death in 1978.

Landen Thomas Phlipot, 3 months, of 25 S. Main St., New Bremen, died on Saturday morning, July 30, 2011, at his residence of natural causes.
He is the son of Joey and Jessica (Pohlman) Phlipot, and they survive him.
He is also survived by a sister, Hailee; his grandparents, Ted and Diane Pohlman of Yorkshire, Tina Philpot of Piqua and Andy and Brianna Phlipot of Minster; his great-grandparents, Clete and Rose Dirksen of Darke County, Gene and Mary Lou Phlipot of Minster and John and Sandy Eilerman of Minster; his godparents, Brittney Homan and Otto Schwieterman.
Jack J. Emrick, 45, of Wapakoneta, died at 1:25 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Lima Memorial Health System, Emergency Room, from injuries suffered in an accident at his home site near Wapakoneta.
He was born on Feb. 7, 1966, in Lima, the son of James Walker and Ruth (Thuman) Emrick. His mother survives in Wapakoneta, and his father died on April 19.
