June 30th
Harold W. (Hal) Huwer, 84, of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Kettering Medical Center.
He was born in St. Marys.
He married Evelyn, and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by a son, Michael; a daughter, Lisa; a grandson, Christian Huwer, who is serving his country in Afaganistan as an airman in the Air Force; a daughter-in-law, Courtney Huwer, of Barksdale Air Force Base; two great-grandsons, Landon and Mason, of Barksdale Air Force Base.
Phyllis Marie Cook, 80, of 806 Laurel Drive, St. Marys, died at 11:55 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2011, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.
She was born on Feb. 25, 1931, in Wexford County, Mich., the daughter of Harry and Lou (Smith) Deuel, and they preceded her in death.
She married Everett Goldsmith in 1951, and he preceded her in death; she married Dean Cook in 1977, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 2006.

Francis L. Smith, 97, of 217 E. Oak St., Celina, died at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at the Gardens of Celina.
He was born on Nov. 19, 1913, in Coldwater, to Louis and Caroline (Schwartz) Smith, and they preceded him in death.
On Oct. 18, 1937, he married Anna Margaret Zender, and she preceded him in death on March 2, 2007.
He is survived by a son, Patrick (Janet) Smith of Celina; two daughters, Judy (Joe) Otte of North Star and Elaine (Jim) Loughridge of Coldwater; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
Donna Jean Becker Doseck, 88, of rural Spencerville, died at 2:49 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at the St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born on Aug. 18, 1922, in Salem Township, to George E. and Nellie M. (Hays) Becker, and they preceded her in death.
On April 5, 1947, she married William A. Doseck, and he preceded her in death on June 29, 2001.
William G. Holtzhauer, 79, formerly of 1709 Kingsbury Drive, St. Marys, died on Sunday, June 26, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospice in Lexington, Ky.
He was born on Aug. 27, 1931, in St. Marys, the son of Charles and Zeitha (Richards) Holtzhauer, and they preceded him in death.
On Jan. 14, 1961, he married Carol Nolan, and she preceded him in death on March 16, 1995.
Marie L. Cordier, 82, formerly of 08361 Burd Road, Celina, died at 7 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2011, at Hospice of Dayton.
She was born on Dec. 7, 1928, in Wapakoneta, to Guy and Alma (Sandkuhl) Benzing, and they preceded her in death.
On May 24, 1954, in St. Marys, she married Paul F. Cordier, and he preceded her in death on June 22, 2000.

Mark Douglas Mulligan, 52, of Columbus, died on Friday, June 10, 2011, at his residence.
He was born on May 2, 1959, in Dayton to John Mulligan and Betty (Marchal) Bowersock, and they preceded him in death.
He is survived by three sons, Matthew (Felicia) Mulligan of Griffin, Ga., David Mulligan of Douglas, Ga., Danniel Mulligan of Griffin, Ga.; two grandchildren; four siblings.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
William Holtzhauer, formerly of St. Marys, died on Sunday, June 26, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
Arrangements are being completed with the Miller – Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 W. High St., St. Marys.
Patricia Ann Freeman, 81, of Viera, Fla., died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at the Wuesthoff Hospice in Rockledge, Fla.
She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Reinhart and Henrietta Amanda (Olson) Hugelen, and they preceded her in death.
She married Clifford D. “Tip” Freeman, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1995.
She is survived by a daughter, Penny (Jerome) Sanders of N. Miami Beach, Fla.; a son, Barry (Susan) Freeman of Arlington, Va.; a grandson.
She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
