Jean M. Lewis, 73, died suddenly after a brave fight against a very aggressive cancer on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She had recently returned to Bluffton to enjoy her retirement.
She was born on Aug. 30, 1938, the daughter of Charles Bernard Lewis and Catherine Bockrath, and they preceded her in death.
Alice J. Gengler, 85, of Coldwater, died at 6:47 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
She was born on Nov. 29, 1925, in Dayton, to the late Edward H. and Elnora E. (Borgerding) Kemper, and they preceded her in death.
On June 28, 1952, in St. Henry, she married James N. Gengler, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 2005.
Dale Eversman, 30, of rural New Bremen, died on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at his residence.
Auglaize County Coroner Dr. Thomas R. Freytag has ordered that an autopsy be performed to determine the cause of his death.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Miller Funeral Homes in St. Marys.
Roberta E. Barnes, 94, of 11110 Circle Drive, St. Marys, died 6:06 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at Otterbein—St. Marys Retirement Community.
She was born on April 24, 1917, in Willow Springs, Mo., to Frank and Carrie Bell (Ball) Ruby, and they preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Patrick E. Baze of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; a grandson; various nieces and nephews.
Private family services and burial are planned.
John W. Robbins, 69, of Celina, died on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 13, 1942, to Roy A. and Opal G. (Monroe) Robbins, and they preceded him in death.
On May 7, 1977, he married Naomi Hover, and she preceded him in death on July 14, 2009.
He is survived by a son, Dwayne (Kimberly) Beal of Germantown; a brother; a sister; a brother-in-law; a sister-in-law; five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Beal.
