NEW BREMEN — A bomb threat left on an electronic device prompted a call to parents of students in the New Bremen School District on Wednesday.
New Bremen Superintendent Howard Overman said the bomb threat was found on an iPad Wednesday morning at New Bremen High School. The message made a threat against the school for Friday.
ST. MARYS — A threat sent to a student's cell phone prompted St. Marys Memorial High School and St. Marys Middle School to go under a "stay-put" Wednesday afternoon.
Shortly after noon Wednesday, a student received a text message threat that contained a picture of a handgun. St. Marys Superintendent Shawn Brown said while the threat was investigated, the school was placed under a "stay-put," which meant students remained in their classes.
ST. MARYS — A St. Marys police officer was able to change a man’s mind who was reportedly considering jumping from the Ohio 116 overpass Tuesday night.
At approximately 8:36 p.m. Tuesday, the St. Marys Police Department received call from the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office asking for assistance in checking a report of a man walking down the middle of the eastbound lanes of U.S. 33, just outside the city limits. Officers responded to the scene but were unable to locate anyone.
Jan. 21: Preschool Dance Party at the St. Marys Community Public Library will take place at 11 a.m. today and will feature a half-hour of fun for 3 to 5 year olds.

ST. MARYS — Dozens of first responders from local agencies converged on Grand Lake St. Marys Monday morning after an unconfirmed report that some children may have fallen through the ice and into the frigid lake.
ST. MARYS — Memorial High School Industrial Arts and Modern Technology teacher Scott Schlosser cuts a piece of metal in one of his classes on Friday, pushing the piece with a practiced hand.
“This is broken so you have to hold down on the power button,” he said. “We hope to get this replaced.”
