Feb. 24: Preschool Movie & Busy Bag Construction will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Marys Community Public Library. Little ones watch a movie while parent or caregiver constructs a busy bag for the child to play with at home.
Kids in Kindergarten and up are welcome to come to FJ Stallo Memorial Library at 3:30 p.m. today for a story time. Call 419-628-2925 or stop by the library to register.
Feb. 21: The ROC, 702 E. Spring St., will host a rummage sale to raise funds for The House That God Build project, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today.
Friday Craft Circle will be held from 10 a.m. to noon today at the St. Marys Community Public Library.
Families are welcome to the New Bremen Public Library at 6:30 p.m. today for an interactive movie experience. Sing along with and cheer for classic children’s characters.
Tween Night will be held at 7 p.m. today at the New Bremen Public Library for grades 5 to 8.

ST. MARYS — A recently elected St. Marys Board of Education member and the district's superintendent are at opposite sides of the spectrum regarding comments posted on an online forum last week.
Feb. 15: Sign ups for St. Marys Little League Baseball will be held from 10 a.m. to noon today at Albert Sporting Goods or by visiting https://st-marys-national-little-league.sportssignup.com.
Feb. 16: A free community dinner will be held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the ROC, 702 E. Spring St., St. Marys.
CELINA — Officers from the Celina Police Department responded to a residence at approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of North Sugar Street on a report that a male had fired a handgun inside the house.
Celina police officers and Mercer County Sheriff's deputies established a perimeter around the residence when they arrived to ensure the safety of residents in the area. The male had left the residence before officers arrived.

WAPAKONETA — A Michigan man is in custody after he allegedly robbed a Wapakoneta Subway restaurant Monday night.
At approximately 5:07 p.m. Monday, the Wapakoneta Police Department received a phone call from employees at the Subway at 1401 Bellefontaine St., regarding a robbery. A male subject reportedly entered the store, produced a weapon and demanded money. The suspect fled the scene heading east on Bellefontaine Street in a mini-van with Michigan license plates. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the store.
CELINA — An inmate at the Mercer County Jail could face charges after he was allegedly found to have made a shank.
ST. MARYS — City and county officials met recently to review the status of the seven bridges in St. Marys.
The bridges are inspected on an annual basis as a way to look for any problem spots. City Engineer Craig Moeller said the checks also help with preventative maintenance.
