ST. MARYS — “Stand out in life, but blend together in music” — this mantra was written on a poster that hung on the walls in the band room at Memorial High School ever since senior Evan Bader, 17, was a freshman.
Bader has been blending since fifth grade, when he decided to join band. Watching football games when he was younger and seeing the band out on the field pushed Bader to be a part of that group, which a lot of his friends were doing, too.
ST. MARYS — Though Kimberli Glass has been involved in the St. Marys City Schools for several years now, this school year will be her first as a full-time teacher with her own classroom and her own set of students.
Glass is an intervention specialist for fourth graders at the intermediate school, and she said she is excited to be there. Glass has been a substitute teacher for the past five years and coached the JV Volleyball team for four years.

ST. MARYS — Pam and Jim Schnarre take extra care when it comes to their dogs, Howie, Bailey and Sequoia.
While Sequoia was a wedding present puppy picked out during their honeymoon, Howie and Bailey are Maltese dogs rescued with handicaps, who are now receiving first class treatment.
“We take our dogs wherever we go on planes, on boats,” Pam Schnarre said. “We’re regular campers, and we take our cat camping with us, too.”
