Storm Causes Outage

July 10, 2013

ST. MARYS — A severe storm that downed trees, limbs and power poles left the city of St. Marys in the dark for several hours on Wednesday.

A system that blew through the region early Wednesday afternoon caused a massive power outage in the city. Crews worked for several hours to re-energize the lines, but as those lines came back on, there were reports of a transformer failure.
