July 5, 2012

ST. MARYS — Area women can relax, rejuvenate and enjoy fellowship as part of an annual women’s retreat next weekend.

The fourth annual Chocolate Boutique Women’s Retreat will run July 13 and 14 at Wayne Street United Methodist Church.

“Kim Kill, the chairperson, had been attending the Women of Faith event every year,” Committee member Bev Hurlburt said, noting Women of Faith is a large women’s retreat that tours across the country. “She had a desire to bring something like that to St. Marys.”

ST. MARYS — Residents and boaters near Otterbein  will soon have to be on the look out for sunken lines as part of an annual dredge program at Grand Lake St. Marys.

“We will be moving our dredge from the service area to Otterbein next week,” Regional Dredge Supervisor Tom Grabow told The Evening Leader. “I’ll have 7,000 feet of line that will stretch from Otterbein to Rustic Haven. We are looking to keep that within the 300-foot offshore no wake zone.”
