CELINA — The Celina Police Department is investigating two stolen vehicle reports that occurred during the weekend.
WAPAKONETA — The 160th version of the Auglaize County Fair is now in full swing.
“It’s going terrific,” Auglaize County Fair Manager Fred Piehl told The Evening Leader Sunday morning. “They are still going in and we are putting the finishing touches on everything.”
Sunday’s schedule saw a full slate of events, including the 4-H Style Review, Open Class Beef Breeding Show, wrestling and truck wars.
Piehl said the 4-H members in the county are one of the largest contingents in the state.
NEW BREMEN — When runners took off for the Firemen’s Picnic Memorial 5K Saturday morning, they left with an extra bit of motivation.
“One thing that was different this year was we did a shadow run during our 5K,” New Bremen/German Township Firefighter Nate Neikamp said.
Tony Utz, of the 37th infantry brigade based at Camp Mike Spann, Afghanistan, and a firefighter for the New Bremen/German Township Fire Department, ran a 5K Saturday morning in Afghanistan.
