CELINA — Deputies in Mercer County are investigating the fifth traffic crash on county roads since the end of January.
In a news release, Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey reported deputies are investigating the fifth fatal traffic crash and the ninth traffic fatality in Mercer County since January 23. Mercer County Central Dispatch received a 911 call at 2:07 p.m. Tuesday of an injury crash near the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.
ST. MARYS — The city of St. Marys will soon be getting a fraction of its energy from a renewable resources.
During their meeting Monday night, St. Marys City Councilors approved the first reading of an ordinance authorizing the execution of Blue Creek Wind Energy Scheduled with AMP to obtain energy from a wind farm in Paulding and Van Wert counties.
Safety-Service Director Jason Little said the deal would help save the city on its energy costs during the life of the 10-year pact.
NEW KNOXVILLE — Talks of renovating the gymnasium at New Knoxville Local School are ongoing, and board members plan to seek community input in the coming months, New Knoxville Board of Education President Phil Kuck said Tuesday night at the board’s monthly meeting.
Kuck said board members heard a slew of options for the gymnasium from Garmann/Miller & Associates — the same company that handled the district’s renovation.
