CELINA — Deputies in Mercer County are investigating the county's first fatality of 2012.
In a news release, Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey said his office is investigating a single-vehicle, fatal crash that occurred on Mercer-Darke County Line Road, just west of Cochran Road. At approximately 5:14 a.m. Monday, the Darke County Sheriff’s Office notified Mercer County Central Dispatch of a motor vehicle crash on the Mercer-Darke County Line Road. After Darke County deputies arrived, it was determined the crash occurred in Mercer County.
Jan. 23: The St. Marys City Board of Education will hold a work session to tour the facilities today. The meeting will begin at the District Service Center, 1445 Celina Road at 7:30 a.m. The board will take action on revisions to the recently adopted 2012-13 school calendar before the beginning the tour.
There will be a Zumba class and a yoga class at 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. respectively today at Woodland Rollerdome in St. Marys.
The St. Marys City Council is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. today.
CELINA — Area wedding and party planners gathered at the Galleria of Celina Saturday and Sunday afternoon for Perfect Party Events & Catering’s third annual showcase.
A Reception For All Seasons opened at 1 p.m. Saturday with a room full of table settings, decorations and samples of food, drinks and photography. Event Manager Shelby O’Neill said the event provides an opportunity to show area planners what Perfect Party Events & Catering has to offer.
