ST. MARYS — The Ohio Department of Natural Resources released pricing for camping, shelter house rentals and dock fees at Grand Lake St. Marys State Park.
The savings are available immediately and include:
• 25 percent off camping.
• 25 percent off Getaway rentals.
• 25 percent off of shelter house rental.
• 50 percent off private and state dock fees.
ST. MARYS — A local wildlife officer spoke to a group of area seniors Tuesday afternoon at St. Marys Living Center about various animals found in Auglaize County.
“I’m going to talk to you today about some of the critters that we have here in Auglaize County,” Auglaize County Wildlife Officer Matt Hoehn said, displaying a box full of animal skins for seniors to see and feel. “Everything I have in this box, you’ve either seen or it’s around here.”
ST. MARYS — A mild winter so far this season has resulted in better-than-normal fishing at Grand Lake St. Marys.
“The fishing has been really good both in the lake and below the spillway,” Grand Lake St. Marys Park Manager Brian Miller told The Evening Leader. “In the lake have been crappie and blue gill and below the spillway, people are catching crappie and walleye. We are seeing very good numbers in both areas.”
