COLUMBUS — St. Marys senior Carter Bowman asked his coach about the menacing putt he was about to face from just off the green on the Par 5 12th hole at the Scarlet Course on Friday afternoon.
St. Marys head coach Scott Ross was a little glib in his advice.
“I think you should aim three feet left and hope it stops,” Ross said.
It stopped in the hole.
