Maxine R. Hanjora, 82, died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at her home near Kemp.
She was the wife of Richard Hanjora.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
James D. Davis, of Celina, died on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at his residence. Arrangements are being completed with Miller Funeral Homes in St. Marys.
Archie A. Dupont, 72, of 904 Hager St., St. Marys, died at 5:16 a.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born on Feb. 17, 1939, in Ranger, Ind., to Louis and Isabell (Oldham) Dupont, and they preceded him in death.
He is survived by a sister, Mary Lore of St. Marys; his nieces and nephews.
A private family funeral service will be held. Burial will be at Harshman Cemetery in Fairborn.
ST. MARYS — A local organization is working to make a difference in the community by holding a food drive this weekend to benefit local food pantries.
The United Way of Auglaize County will be holding its third annual Christmas in July food drive from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Executive Director Randy Fisher said the drive is meant to bring awareness of the poverty and hunger in the area.
NEW BREMEN — Officials in the village of New Bremen are asking residents to curtail water usage in an effort to conserve the resource.
In a news release issued to The Evening Leader, New Bremen Mayor Jeff Pape announced the imposition of a water use advisory for the village. Pape asked residents to curb water use by eliminating practices such as watering lawns, washing cars and operating outdoor fountains.
MINSTER — The state champion Minster baseball team will be honored with a ceremony at Great American Ball Park on Monday, July 25.
The ceremony will be held at 6:48 p.m. in the pregame before the Cincinnati Reds take on the New York Mets at 7:10 p.m.
Minster won the Division IV state championship this spring.
The Reds have a payment plan for Minster’s followers and are sitting in section 136 as a group.
CELINA — Grand Lake Mariners head coach Mike Goldschmidt says his team understands the sense of urgency needed as it looks to climb out of its last-place positioning and into a Great Lakes Summer College League playoff spot with a late-summer charge.

Robert W. “Bob” Croft, 86, of Indian River, Mich., formerly of Spencerville, died at 2:40 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2011, a the Hospice House of Cheboygan in Cheboygan, Mich.
He was born on Aug. 23, 1924, in Allen County, to Forrest and Ethel Marie (Davenport) Croft, and they preceded him in death.
On Nov. 18, 1943, he married Donna L. Ross, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 12, 1976.

Arrangements are being completed with the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West), St. Marys.
Floyd T. “Tom” Vorhees, 62, died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Lima Memorial Health System.
He was born on Jan. 26, 1949, in Lima, to Paul F. and Betty L. Maloney Vorhees, and they preceded him in death.
On July 17, 1965, he married Sandra L. McCandless, who survives him in St. Marys.
