Join us for carnival style games, activities, crafts and most of all let’s get pumped up for the Homecoming Football game that night.  Show up and we’ll have you all decked out Cardinal Crazy by the end.  Meet and greet with the football players. Charles P. Ross, 90

September 4, 2014

Charles P. Ross, 90, of 407 Arlington St., St. Marys, died at 6:36 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.

He was born on March 26, 1924, in Cadiz, the son of Ralph and Cora (Timmons) Ross.

He married Ethel Rucker on July 16, 1945, in Catlettsburg, Ky., and she preceded him in death on July 2, 2010.

Marilyn J. Henning, 82

September 3, 2014

Marilyn J. Henning, 82, of 513 Webb St. in St. Marys, died at 1:35 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at Otterbein – St. Marys, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on Nov. 25, 1931, in Hume, to Wilbur and Mary (Naumburg) Lee.  She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School class of 1949.  On Nov. 15, 1951, in St. Marys, she married William C. Henning, who died on March 30, 2010. 

Event Helps ACCA's Mission

ST. MARYS — September is National Senior Center Month, and the Auglaize Council on Aging has found a fun, festive way to celebrate. It will host the third annual Auglaize County Harvestfest from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds east gate entrance. Entry is $1 or a canned good that will be donated to a local food pantry.

New this year will be a car show, which will run all day. Door prizes will be given to the first 30 entrants, and the cost to enter is $5.
