Agnes V. Schmerge, 60, of St. Marys, passed away peacefully at 6:53 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at Heritage Manor, Minster.
She was born on March 5, 1954, in St. Marys, to Alvin and Dolores (Otting) Schulze, both of whom preceded her in death.
She married Jim Schmerge on May 14, 1977, and he survives at the residence.
Diana G. Hagan, 69, of 3648 State Route 66, Houston, died unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, in the emergency department of Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney.
She was born on Dec. 16, 1944, in St. Marys, the daughter of Jack and Karma (Wyatt) Campbell.
CRIDERSVILLE — Two people died from injuries suffered in a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 75 near Cridersville Friday night.
According to a report from the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at approximately 9 p.m., John Strachan, 41, of Dayton, was driving a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on I-75 with a passenger, Helen Coleman, 47, of Dayton. Strachan was in the left lane with a group of approximately 20 other motorcycles. Several of the motorcycles lost control for an unknown reason.

The St. Marys Farmers Market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today next to Dave's BBQ on Celina Road.
Noble Community Park, 16493 St. Marys River Road, will host at fish fry from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. today. Meals are $8 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under.
Sept. 7: A free community dinner will be held from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the ROC, 702 E. Spring St., St. Marys.
Donald Edward Steinke, 81, of St. Marys, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at his home, surrounded by family.
He was born on Jan. 4, 1933, in Wapakoneta, the son of Rudolph and Marcella (Schneider) Steinke. In 1951, Donald graduated from St. Joseph High School, Wapakoneta. On Aug. 4, 1956, at Holy Rosary Church in St. Marys, he married Ann Marie Catherine (Dietz) Steinke, who survives.
