Denise Metz Locke, 54, of 180 Hickory Nut Lane, Moorseburg, Tenn., and formerly of St. Marys, died on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at the Roselawn Manor Nursing Home in Spencerville, after a brief battle with cancer.
She was born on March 30, 1960, in Lima, the daughter of David and Sharlene (Graham) Metz.
She married David Locke on Jan. 1, 2002, in Tennesee, and he survives at the residence.
She is also survived by her brother, Dana (Renee) Metz of Gilbert, Ariz.; and by her nephews, Kyle and Joshua Metz.

CELINA — Six people were indicted on a variety of drug charges following investigations by the Grand Lake Task Force.
Those arrested and indicted were:
• Dennis W. Clutter, 54, of the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility, on one count of possession of heroin, a fourth-degree felony.
• William R. Culver Jr., 49, of the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility, on one count of possession of heroin, a fourth-degree felony.
Dolores G. VanDeMark, 88, of New Bremen, died at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster.
She was born on March 3, 1926, in St. Rose, the daughter of the late Clemence and Cecilia (Heyne) Kunk.
On Oct. 7, 1950, she married Jacob Newton VanDeMark in Osgood, and he preceded her in death on April 6, 2005.

Michael Schmitmeyer, a Memorial High Schol grad and former University of Findlay standout golfer, won his fourth East of Chicago Golf Championship on Sunday in dramatic fashion.
Holing out from 117 yards on the second sudden-death playoff hole, Schmitmeyer captured the title over Josh Veith in the championship match.
Going into the 17th hole Schmitmeyer held a 2-up lead, but Veith won both the 17th and 18th holes.
Jacqueline “Jackie” Axe-Hamby, 73, of Morris, Ill., and formerly of St. Marys and Lima, died at 4:58 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at Morris Hospital, Morris, Ill.
She was born on June 28, 2014, in St. Marys, the daughter of Francis and Anna Mae (Griner) Axe.
Maurice J. “Moe” Feltz, 89, of Harbor Point in Celina, died at 3:03 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Celina Manor Nursing Home in Celina.
He was born on Dec. 17, 1924, in Casella, to Albert “Blackie” and Catherine (Frong) Feltz, who are deceased.
In Oct. 1977, he married Sally Steen-Adams, who survives.
Ina Fay Cisco, 87, of Celina, died on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at her residence of natural causes.
She was born on April 9, 1927, in Noble Township, Auglaize County, to parents Milo and Ruth (Potts) Johns, both of whom preceded her in death.
She first married Norman Wurster, who preceded her in death.
She then married William Cisco, who also preceded her in death.

ST. MARYS — A suspect has been taken into custody in relation to an aggravated robbery that took place at a local bank Friday afternoon.
St. Marys Police Chief Mark Ernst confirmed to The Evening Leader a suspect has been taken into custody a few hours following the incident at 3Rivers Federal Credit Union on Greenville Road.
The suspect was located at a residence on Edwards Street.
