BOE Ponders Name Change

February 12, 2015

ST. MARYS — Members of the St. Marys School Board of Education voted to get the cost of changing the names of two of the district’s schools Wednesday night.

Board President Brian Little proposed the move, suggesting the board change the name of the primary school to East Primary and the intermediate school to West Intermediate.

“No one calls them ‘Primary’ or ‘Intermediate,’” Little said. “They say, ‘Which one is that, east or west?’ It’s what they are, not who they are.”
