ST. MARYS — Auglaize County Prosecuting Attorney Edwin A. Pierce and St. Marys Police Chief Mark Ernst announced today that Paul Hoover, 52, recently of Eustis, Fla., was presented before the Auglaize County Common Pleas Court on an indictment returned by the September 2013 term of the Auglaize County Grand Jury.

GREENVILLE — The St. Marys girls basketball team didn’t let the new year arrive without getting that breakthrough first victory of the season out of the way.
The Roughriders went on the road and beat Greenville 45-39 on Monday night.
ST. MARYS — Grace United Methodist Church will ring in the new year with its Winter Christian Music Festival, which will take place at 7 p.m. Jan. 12 at Grace United Methodist Church, at the corner of Pine and Columbia Streets in St. Marys.
Organized by head of the church council Bruce Beener, the event is still in its infancy.
John S. Meyer, 66, of rural Spencerville, died at 12:24 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at Lima Memorial Health System with his family at his side, following an extended illness.
He was born on May 19, 1947, in Lima, a son of Leonard Bernard and Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Klaus Meyer, who are deceased.
Edith C. Doenges, 59, 05751 Washington Pike, St. Marys, died at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013.
She was born on March 23, 1954, in Celina, to Lawrence and Leona (Stachler) Schwieterman, both of whom preceded him in death.
She married Bill L. Doenges on May, 26, 1975, and he survives at their residence.
