Tim R. Hull, 48, of Wapakoneta died at 1:54 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus.Arrangements are incomplete at Schlosser Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
Emily Ann Saam, 17, of Wapakoneta, died at 12:50 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013, from injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident at Ohio 501 and Linzee Road.
She was born on June 3, 1996, in Lima, to Alex E. and Kelley Saam Jr. and Jennifer E. (Rhodes) and John Ickes both of Wapakoneta who survive.
Survivors also include a brother and four sisters, Alexandria Adams, Harlie Ickes, Madison, Drew, and Lindsey Saam; five sets of grandparents; numerous aunt, uncles, and cousins.
Clara W. Greiwe, 94, of New Bremen, died at 3:35 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Elmwood of New Bremen.
She was born on Nov. 28, 1918, in near Kettlersville. She was the daughter of Charles and Amanda (May) Westerbeck. On April 17, 1948, she married Donald H. Greiwe and he preceded her in death on July 3, 2009.
Survivors include her children, John and Donna Sue Greiwe of Sidney, James and Diane Greiwe of Coldwater, and Ann and Dennis Nelson of New Bremen; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Jack Schrolucke, 63, of Spencerville, died at 12:19 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on June 24, 1950, in Lima, the son of Robert E. and Rosemary J. (Sutton) Schrolucke, who preceded him in death.
On July 21, 1972, he married Dianna S. Seibert, who survives.
WAPAKONETA — A 17-year-old Wapakoneta girl was killed in a crash Thursday afternoon along Ohio 501.
According to a report from the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Emily Ann Saam, 17, was driving a 2000 Dodge Durango south on Ohio 501, just north of Linzee Road. Saam's vehicle drifted off the eastside of the road and struck a tree. The impact with the tree caused severe damage to the Durango and sparked a small fire.
ST. MARYS — Fallen trees and limbs have forced the closure of two local dog parks until further notice.
Grand Lake St. Marys State Park Manager Brian Miller said Wednesday's storm caused trees throughout Grand Lake St. Marys State Park to fall. The debris forced the closure of East Bank Road as well as the dog parks at the East and West banks.
"We are unsure of how soon we can open them," Miller said. "Our goal is to have both parks opened by the weekend."
James Dalton, 99, of Montezuma, died on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Celina Manor Nursing Home in Celina.
Arrangements are being completed with the Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys.
Douglas “Woody” Byers, 57, of 46 Causeway Court in St. Marys, died on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at his residence.
He was born on July 9, 1955, in Sidney, to Robert and Mary Ann (Droesch) Byers.
On Dec. 27, 2008, he married his long-time companion, Lisa Dunlap, who survives.
c, of 115 E. Anthony St. in Celina, died on Thursday, July 4, 2013, at her residence.
She was born on Oct. 19, 1946, in Celina, to Herbert and Lois (Wierwille) Henning.
On March 27, 1965, in Port Clinton, she married Pastor Gary L. King, who survives.
ST. MARYS — A severe storm that downed trees, limbs and power poles left the city of St. Marys in the dark for several hours on Wednesday.
A system that blew through the region early Wednesday afternoon caused a massive power outage in the city. Crews worked for several hours to re-energize the lines, but as those lines came back on, there were reports of a transformer failure.
