ST. MARYS — In an effort to continue to market the city of St. Marys, the community will once again be highlighted in a series of videos that will appear online.
St. Marys Development Manager Susan Crotty is working with CGI Communications to produce video tour books for the city that will appear on Relocate.org, a website that provides information to those who are looking to move. The video, once completed, also will be available of the city’s website.

A 5K Race/Walk will take place at 8:30 a.m. today in front of Skip Baughman Stadium. Registration info can be found at TheROCResourceCenter.com.
St. Marys Farmers’ Market will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, next to Dave’s BBQ on Celina road, Ohio 703.
Aug. 18: A community supper will be served from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the ROC, 702 E. Spring St., St. Marys. It is eat-in only and the meal is free.
ST. MARYS — Otterbein Senior Living kicked off its annual fish fry Thursday night with root beer floats and a performance by Don Smithey, gospel and country guitarist.
Resident Life Director Dianna Uhlenhake said every year the tent goes up Thursday and there’s an event Thursday night that makes use of the tent. The event builds excitement for Saturday’s fish fry.
“The fish fry is our biggest event of the year,” she said. “We pull out all the stops.”

The New Bremen Public Library will host a sidewalk chalk and bubble want activity at 1 p.m. today.
ST. MARYS — The smell of ribs filled the air over SummerFest Saturday afternoon as competitors served up their best dishes as part of the annual rib cook-off.
Armed with spices, rubs, sauces, smokers and grills, each competitor sought bragging rights for the year — as well as trophies and cash prizes — for having the best ribs. The cook-off drew competitors from Lima, St. Marys and New Knoxville.
Ed Scarberry, of Lima, is a veteran of rib cook-offs.
Donald L. Wagner, 83, of Celina, died at 3:15 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at his residence.
He was born on Jan. 1, 1930, in Delphos, to George Patrick and Lucille (Kirshner) Wagner.
On Jan. 2, 1960, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Carthagena, he married Roberta A. Huber, who survives.
Sarah M. Marsee, 84, of 616 Hendricks Ave., St. Marys, died at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at the Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys.
She was born on May 28, 1929, in Chilton County, Ala., the daughter of G.E. and Susianna (Feezel) Bankston.
She married Carlos Marsee on Feb. 29, 1964, and he preceded her in death.
Paul E. Sawmiller, 87, of rural Spencerville, died on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at his residence.
He was born on Sept. 15, 1925, in Van Wert County, the son of Arthur and Mildred (Rempher) Sawmiller, who preceded him in death.
On July 14, 1947, he married Jean A. Kolter, and she survives.
