A weekly divorce support group will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Wayne Street United Methodist Church in St. Marys.
Phillip Dean Kaltenbach, 59, of Lynn St., Russia, died at 10:50 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at his home.
He was born on Feb. 12, 1954, in Warren County, to the late Howard R. and Betty I. (May) Kaltenbach. He married Sharon Burnice on Jan. 8, 1994. She survives in Russia.
Geraldine R. Metzger, 88, of 308 E. Bremen St. New Knoxville, died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at the St. Marys Living Center.
She was born on Oct. 14, 1924, in Auglaize County, the daughter of Eugene and Lillia (Weifenbach) Slattery.
She married Dale Metzger on April 23, 1946, and he preceded her in death on April 15, 1994.
ST. MARYS — Students at the Intermediate School enjoyed a field day Tuesday by playing dodgeball in the gym, enjoying popsicles and water on the playground, as well as hula hoops, water balloons and multiple blow-up slides and obstacle courses.
With the last day of school approaching and summer around the corner, the students were full of energy and appreciated the day of fun with their friends.
Kennedi Burd, who was hula hooping with her friend and fellow fifth-grader, Shia Salisbury, said her favorite part of field day is the obstacle course.

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — The St. Marys baseball team cruised through four and a half innings with a 1-0 lead before Shawnee abruptly changed everything with a six-run fifth inning.
Cory Wilder hit a backbreaking three-run home run in the fifth and three Shawnee pitchers held St. Marys to one run in Shawnee’s 6-1 win over the Roughriders on Monday.

ST. MARYS — The Auglaize County Special Olympics track and field had its first practice since the District competition at the Memorial High School track Monday evening.
There were athletes ranging in age from 8 to in their 60s, practicing everything from softball to track to wheelchair races. They were preparing for their next big competition, State, which will take place from June 28 through June 30 at Ohio State University’s campus in Columbus.

ST. MARYS — A Cridersville man was struck and killed by a vehicle along U.S. 33 early Sunday morning.
According to a crash report from the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at approximately 1:33 a.m. Sunday, Joshua J. Wingate, 32, of Cridersville, was walking or standing in the right lane of westbound traffic along U.S. 33, near mile post 7, just west of Townline-Kossuth Road, when he was struck by a westbound 2009 Ford Flex driven Rebecca Macwhinney, 34, of St. Marys.
Fay E. Noble, 91, of 1008 Hendricks Ave. in St. Marys, died on Friday, May 17, 2013, at Wapakoneta Manor.
She was born on May 1, 1922, in St. Marys, to Clarence “Pick” and Mazie (Sutton) Williamson.
On Sept. 14, 1982, she married Dr. Alvin B. Noble, who died on Feb. 15, 2001.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents Clarence “Pick” and Mazie Williamson; infant son Craig Rasneor; son Roger Rasneor; husband Dr. Alvin B. Noble; former husband Guy Rasneor.
Robert W. Burklo Sr., age 87, of 325 Touvelle St. in Celina, passed away at 7:20 a.m. Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born on Feb. 5, 1926, to the late Edward and Thelma (Hays) Burklo in Lima.
On March 26, 1949, he married Anne Belle Birch, who died on Oct. 29, 1970.
