Dolores F. (Bruns) Gaier, 75, formerly of Monterey Drive, Fort Loramie, passed away of natural causes on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster, where she was a resident.
Dolores had been a cancer survivor for the last 12 years.
She was born on Dec. 29, 1937, in Philothea, to the late August and Agnes (Buening) Bruns.
On Nov. 28, 1957, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Egypt, Dolores married John P. “Jack” Gaier, who preceded her in death on May 11, 2008.

A community supper will be served from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the ROC, 702 E. Spring St., St. Marys. It is eat-in only and the meal is free.

Aaron Huffman looked quite comfortable running the Redskin Wing-T attack in his varsity debut with a player like Keaton Metz catching his passes and a hulking fullback like Zach Schmerge bowling over Roughrider defenders.

ST. MARYS — The city of St. Marys continues to eclipse last year’s income tax revenue as it heads into the fourth quarter of the year.
Through September, the city has collected $3.3 million in income taxes — up from the $3 million it collected during the same time period last year. In 2010 and 2011, the city collected $2.9 million and $2.8 million respectively.

WAPAKONETA — No team has scored on the St. Marys boys soccer team since Sept. 14. That run continued on Thursday in the Riders' postseason opener.
St. Marys’ defense turned in its ninth straight shutout and the Roughriders captured a Division II sectional title with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs at Ryan Field to advance to the district tournament.
COLDWATER — The New Knoxville volleyball team came out on top of an exciting fifth game to knock off state-ranked St.Henry, 25-15, 26-24,14-25, 19-25 and 17-15, in a Division IV sectional title match at Coldwater on Thursday.

WAPAKONETA — A trooper at the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol has confirmed there has been a fatality in the crash along southbound I-75. No other information is being released at this time.
