KENTON — With 66 points lighting up Kenton’s side of the scoreboard by the end of the night, it was hard to fathom that there was a point on Friday that Kenton’s offense looked a bit frazzled.
Kenton quarterback Grant Sherman shook off a slow start and then threw for 460 yards and seven touchdowns while wideout Justin Sawmiller had a monster day receiving and in the return game in Kenton’s runaway 66-14 win over St. Marys at Robinson Field.

NEW BREMEN — It was lightning that struck at New Bremen Friday night but it wasn’t the kind that would delay a game. It was the running and passing of the Minster Wildcats as they defeated the Cardinals 41-20 in a Midwest Athletic Conference opener.
The Wildcats used the running of Sam Dues and Jacob Stechschulte and the passing of Josh Nixon to get up early.
