Richard A. Frosdick, 84

Richard A. Frosdick, 84, of Celina, died on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at the St. Marys Living Center.

He was born on May 19, 1928, in Oakfield, N.Y., to parents Harold and Edith (Andrews) Frosdick.

On May 24, 1986, he married Patricia (Sullivan) Lentz, who survives.

Roy E. Fradd, 96

Roy E. Fradd, 96, of Maplewood, died on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Heartland of Bellefontaine.

He was born on Feb. 14, 1916, in Cedarville, to Marion and Ella (Waugh) Fradd.

On June 8, 1935, in Ironton, he married Josie E. Lambert, who died on Aug. 25, 2009.

He is survived by three daughters, Wilma “Jean” Fisher  of Mesah, Ariz., Ruth Evelyn Shaw  of Bellefontaine and Beulah Greenbaum  of Bellefontaine; by 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren;   16 great-great-grandchildren.

Nicholas F. Bergman, 88

Nicholas F. Bergman, 88, of Botkins, died at 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center. 

He was born on Aug. 23, 1924, in Egypt, to the late Fred and Katherine (Dircksen) Bergman. 

On Sept. 27, 1947, he married Norma Berning  in St. Patrick, and she survives in Botkins. 

Civic Association Honors Knapke

Mary Knapke, born and raised in Minster, was announced the 2012 Citizen of the Year at the “Tropical Paradise” celebration held Feb. 8 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
