CELINA — An Indiana man died this morning following a collision with a semi in Mercer County.
According to a crash report, the Mercer County Sheriff's Office received multiple 911 calls at 6:08 a.m. today reporting a collision at Ohio 29 and Ohio 118. A 2011 Freightliner semi tractor and trailer was south bound on Ohio 118 and failed to stop for the stop sign. The semi was driven by Robert Riley, 54, of Fort Jennings.

Frances I. Reeder, 101, of Spencerville, died at 9:05 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at her residence with her children at her side.
She was born on Sept. 26, 1912, in Jennings Township, Van Wert County, a daughter of George Washington and Rosa Jane Reynolds Miller, who are deceased.
On Jan. 29, 1931, she married Lester J. Reeder, who died on April 13, 2010, at the age of 103. They lived in their own home for 79 years.

ST. MARYS — An annual festival that lights up the city while helping a local food pantry continues to grow each year.
Emory B. Michel, 85, a longtime resident of Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, St. Marys, died at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Otterbein St. Marys.
He was born on Oct. 5, 1926, in Nova, the son of William and Ruth (Brouder) Michel.
He married Janet Consla on Dec. 23, 1950, in Beach City, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 3, 2008.
He is survived by his nephews David Brown of Dayton; Gary Thomas of Old Saybrook, Mass.; a niece, Ruthann Swenson of Boston, Mass.; and many other nieces and nephews.
Nov. 9: New Bremen Coffee Co. and Books, Inc., will host a storytime with Cindy Newman at 12:30 p.m. today. Thanksgiving and turkeys will be the theme for the stories and craft.
Nov. 10: A community supper will be served from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the ROC, 702 E. Spring St., St. Marys. It is eat-in only and the meal is free.
June (Scheer) Slade, 93, formerly of New Bremen, died on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at her home in Saratoga, Calif.
She was born on Feb. 15, 1920, near New Bremen, the daughter of the late William and Alma (Moeller) Scheer.
On April 16, 1961, she married Rolf Slade at St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen, and he survives in Saratoga, Calif.
June is also survived by her daughter, Ann (Slade) Davis, two grandchildren, Ben and Hannah Davis, and numerous nieces and nephews.
