ST. MARYS — The Memorial High School Scholastic Bowl Team came in first place in the TV44 Quiz Bowl Tournament that took place this week in Elida.
The team’s adviser, Chad Doll, said this team was destined for success after struggling last season.
Donna Marie Bailey, 59, of Celina, passed away on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at her residence.
She was born on Dec. 31, 1953, in Caribou, Maine, the daughter of the late Delmer Tracy and Beatrice Hardgrove Nadeau.
She married Charles Bailey on July 26, 1996, and he survives in Celina, along with her four daughters, Pauletta Bricker of Minster; Mary Ann (Danny) Maggiore of North Branford, Conn.; Nicole Ferraiolo of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Danielle Sanning of Austin, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; five brothers and sisters.
Mary A. Kriegel, 90, of Celina, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at the Gardens at Celina.
She was born on Feb. 16, 1923, in Trinity, Ind., the daughter of Henry and Frances (Hess) Muhlenkamp.
She married Howard F. Wagner on Jan. 26, 1944, and he preceded her in death on April 24, 1965.
On Oct. 31, 1969, she married Edward J. Kriegel, and he also preceded her in death on April 8, 2010.

ST. MARYS — The St. Marys Middle School seventh and eighth-grade bands will give their first performance at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 8 during the fall band/choir in the PAC.
Band Director Craig French is excited for the performance, and lauds the students’ work ethic. Each band will play two pieces of concert band music, and will finally have the opportunity to show friends and family what they have been learning and where their hard work has been going.
Michael W. Schaeufele, 65, formerly of St. Marys, passed away at noon Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at his residence in Minster.

He was born on Jan. 2, 1948, in Cleveland, to Alfred and Naomi (Preston)Schaeufele.
On Oct. 9, 2004, he married Linda (Morrow) Schaeufele; she survives at the residence in Minster.
