DEFIANCE — A wild back-and-forth affair between a pair of Western Buckeye League teams desperate for a win turned one-sided after a fumble and lengthy return.
Abram Ramirez scooped up a fumble at his own nine yard line and ran 85 yards to help Defiance seal a 45-21 win over St. Marys at Fred Brown Stadium on Friday night.

NEW BREMEN — Trey Naylor's 35-yard field goal proved to be the difference for the New Bremen Cardinals in a 31-28 win over Fort Recovery on Friday night.
“We wanted them to understand that when you play together as a team and you play for each other and handle adversity because everyone has each other’s back that is the kind of thing you can accomplish," Cardinals head coach Jason McGaharan said." I think this team finally understands that when you play as a team you can overcome the kind of start we had tonight.”
ANNA — Minster got off to a quick start after bouncing back from their loss to Coldwater last week in their game against Midwest Athletic opponent Anna Rockets. Minster has never beat Anna and the Wildcats took a commanding halftime lead and picked up the 34-8 MAC victory.
“It was a tough two weeks for us mentally and emotionally draining,” said Minster coach Nate Moore. “I am proud of the way the kids played tonight, they should be happy with the victory.”
