ST HENRY — What started to look like a blowout when the Minster Wildcats scored twice in the first six minutes of the game, turned into something else altogether.
St. Henry came back and won a Midwest Athletic Conference 35-21 victory.
“We stuck to the plan and give credit to our kids for not folding, they could have easily folded there at 14-0 with Minster having all the momentum,” said St. Henry coach Jeff Starkey. “It was great by our kids just hanging in there.”
NEW BREMEN – For the first time in a year and a half the New Bremen football team is able to celebrate a victory.
The Cardinals scored touchdowns in the second and fourth quarters to defeat the Parkway Panthers 13-6 in front of a homecoming crowd to snap a 15-game losing streak that dated back to the 2010 season.
Tristin Hoffmaster's fourth-quarter six-yard touchdown run proved to be the game winner for the Cardinals.
New Bremen's other score came on a Garrett Westerbeck to Justin Heitkamp nine-yard touchdown pass.
CELINA — Celina emerged from a Western Buckeye League struggle with Wapkoneta with a 24-21 win.
