ST. MARYS — Less than 24 hours after a drifting boat touched off a search for a missing boater, the body of a 59-year-old man was found near Riley Bay in Grand Lake St. Marys.
The body of James Price was found near Riley Bay Wednesday afternoon — less than a day after emergency personnel started searching for him after his 22-foot pontoon boat was found adrift Tuesday night. Price's body was found near where his boat was located.

ST. MARYS — The hits were flying around the ball park Tuesday evening for the St. Marys ACME baseball team as it swept a doubleheader from Sidney 16-1 in five innings in the first game and 16-6 in six innings in the second game.
“I think we did pretty well offensively,” St. Marys head coach Alan Huber said. “The kids did well in situational hitting and we had good pitching. Brandon (Coffey) pitched well and Marcus Wagner had a good showing in the second game, but he got a little fatigued and Isaac Fitzgerald came on to finish the game.”
Eric L. Revolt, 45, of 117 Cedarhurst Drive, Lot 13, St. Marys, died suddenly on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Nov. 19, 1966, in St. Marys, the son of Leonard and Marge (Wurster) Revolt, and his father preceded him in death. His mother survives him in Mendon.
Ernest “Ernie” B. Phlipot, 82, of New Bremen, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born on May 5, 1930, in Newport, the son of Henry and Lena (Francis) Phlipot, and they preceded him in death.
On Sept. 27, 1950, he married Jeannette Budde, and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2004. He then married Betty Donnerberg Bergman on Feb. 10, 2007, and she preceded him in death on July 24, 2009.
CELINA — A boat found adrift on Grand Lake St. Marys Tuesday night sparked a search for a missing person that continued this morning.
Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Watercraft spokesperson John Wisse said officials received a report early Tuesday evening that an officer found a vacant boat adrift on the lake. Evidence found on the boat led to a search for a missing person — a 57-year-old male who was reportedly fishing on the 22-foot pontoon boat earlier in the day.
ST. MARYS — A Florida man faces a minor misdemeanor charge as the result of allegedly shooting a dog as it became aggressive, dumping its body into Grand Lake St. Marys and failing to notify the proper authorities.
The St. Marys’ ACME baseball team’s patient approach paid dividends late in its 11-8 comeback win over Elida on Monday night at K.C. Geiger Park.
St. Marys (5-5) rallied back from a six-run deficit with a nine-run bottom of the sixth inning by getting into Elida’s bullpen.

H. Phil McKibans, 85, of New Bremen, died at 1:28 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on March 28, 1927, in Akron, the son of Howard McKibans and Lillian Trottman McKibans Loving and stepfather Lawrence Loving.
On May 14, 1949, he married Dorothy E. Milroy, and she survives in New Bremen.
