COLUMBUS - Minster Wildcats score one in the bottom of the 7th inning to win second consecutive state title 5-4.
COLUMBUS — Not every victory need be accompanied by a rise to the top of the podium at the state track meet.
Sometimes the consistency of a three-year run of excellence like the one Kayla Wuebker completed on Friday or the perseverance to get back to the state meet and excel after a disappointing hiatus like Wapakoneta’s Megan Hayzlett displayed are achievement enough.
COLUMBUS — The Minster baseball team’s line-up cranked out 14 hits and wallopped Tinora 12-2 in a Division IV state semifinal.
Minster (25-6) will now play for back-to-back state championships when the Wildcats square off for the Division IV crown with Cuyahoga Heights (25-4)on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Huntington Park.
