ST. MARYS — The attorney for Douglas Wine said he believes his client did not violate his appeal bond by traveling to Kentucky in May.
WAPAKONETA — One Auglaize County official described the loss of a former sheriff quite simply and succinctly — “We’ve lost a really great man.”
Former Auglaize County Sheriff Larry R. Longsworth, 62, died early Monday morning at a Columbus hospital from esophageal cancer after battling the disease for only the past few months of his life.
William “Ben” Kelly, 86, of Spencerville, died at 9:50 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at Roselawn Manor Nursing Home in Spencerville.
He is the husband of Frances Kelly.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Other information is incomplete.
Ronald W. “Ace” Boroff, 78, of rural Spencerville, died at 7:40 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at the Laurels of Shane Hill Care Center in Rockford, following an extended illness.
He was born on March 6, 1934, in Mendon, to William David and Mabel Lucille Mutersbaugh Boroff, and they preceded him in death.
On June 1, 1957, he married Helen Jean Martin, and she survives him.
Former Auglaize County Sheriff Larry R. Longsworth, 62, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 12:55 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at The Wexner Medical Center at Ohio State University in Columbus, surrounded by his loving family.
Larry was born on Feb. 18, 1950, in Mercer County, the son of Robert and Bernice (Nuss) Longsworth, and his mother preceded him in death. His father survives in Wapakoneta.
