CELINA — Three suspects, including a Spencerville man, have been arrested for their respective roles in a home invasion Feb. 25 near Mendon.
During a news conference Wednesday morning, Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey announced the arrest of three people believed to be linked to a home invasion at 12617 Dutton Road, just north of Ohio 117 near Mendon. Two people were inside the residence at the time — Kathy Fair, 47, and her father William Fair, 73.
St. Marys football camp slated for July 23-25
The St. Marys football program will hold a youth football camp on July 23, 24 and 25 for players grades 3-8 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Varsity coaches and coaches from all levels of St. Marys football will coach the camp. There will be competitions and combine agility drills. Sign ups sheets are available at the intermediate and primary schools at St. Marys, at the Roughrider Touchdown Club and at Albert’s Sporting Goods.

NEW BREMEN — Area councilors again discussed the possibility of establishing no parking on the north side of Monroe Street and are hoping to receive more feedback from the community before finishing up the possible ordinance.
New Bremen Village Councilors discussed the feedback they had received so far from the public about eliminating the three parking spaces across from La Piazza New Bremen between Washington and Water streets, with the majority of the feedback being for the change.
Mayor Jeff Pape shared the feedback he had heard since the last meeting.
ST. MARYS — For the second consecutive month, Auglaize County ranked among the top 10 lowest in the state in terms of unemployment.
Iva L. Kiser-Dowler, 98, of Cridersville, died at 12:56 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2012, at Otterbein-Cridersville.
She was born on Nov. 16, 1913, in Duchouquet Township, to C. Cal and Dorothea Naumberg Carter, and they preceded her in death.
On May 23, 1936, she married Vernon Lyle Kiser, and he preceded her in death on May 9, 1995. On June 13, 1998, she married John Russell Dowler of West Milton, and he preceded her in death Dec. 18, 2000.
Robert G. Fields, 51, of Mendon, died on Sunday, May 20, 2012, from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.
He was born on Oct. 11, 1960, in Ellwood City, Pa., to Coral Eileen Alborn Fields and Emmanuel Ray Fields, and his mother survives him in Florida. His father and stepmother, Mary Ann Fields, survive in Fombell, Pa.
He is also survived by the love of his life, Connie Altenbach of Mendon; a son, Joshua (Kristin) Fields of Wind Gap, Pa.; a granddaughter; six siblings.
He was preceded in death by a stepmother; a stepbrother.
