COLDWATER — New Knoxville spotted Coldwater a big lead in the first quarter and fell short in a second-half comeback attempt in a 47-43 loss to the Cavaliers on Friday night at The Palace.
“Coldwater came ready to play and for whatever reason tonight we didn’t,” New Knoxville head coach Kort Fledderjohann said.
VERSAILLES — Versailles rolled past Minster 69-50 in a Midwest Athletic Conference contest on Friday night.
Versailles came out ready right from the start as the Tigers opened the game on an 8-0 run, courtesy of three-pointers by Mitchell Campbell and Chad Winner, along with a basket by freshman Kyle Ahrens.
Minster’s Ryan Hoying hit a three-pointer to end the Tiger run, but Versailles led 8-3 with 4:30 remaining in the first quarter.
