Village, Hoge To Renew Deal

NEW KNOXVILLE — The New Knoxville Electrical Department plans to renew a contract with Hoge Lumber to buy surplus electricity for the village during peak usage hours.

Village Administrator Rex Katterheinrich said the lumber company is a large power user but also uses its wood as fuel to generate electricity.

The contract has minor modifications this year, including a stipulation that during peak hours, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., the village will buy electricity at the same price they pay to American Municipal Power.

Arrangements are being completed with Miller Funeral Homes in St. Marys.

Jeanette M. (Wermert) Doorley, 76

December 12, 2012

Jeanette M. (Wermert) Doorley, 76, died on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Broadview Health Center in Gahanna.

She was born in St. Sebastion and was a homemaker for 56 years. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church for 30 years and most recently, St. Matthew Catholic Church.

Pauline E. Ruschau, 84

Pauline E. Ruschau, 84, of Ohio 119 in Maria Stein, died at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at St. Marys Living Center. 

She was born on Oct. 21, 1928, in Coldwater to the late Louis and Rose (Spoltman) Mescher. 

She married Jerome “Jim” Ruschau on May 29, 1954.  He preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 2003.
